The latest updated “Results in Brief” of CORDIS (The European Commission’s primary service for EU-funded research results, in six languages) published the article with the title “AI-powered drones for difficult maintenance tasks” about the results of the H2020 AEROARMS project. This article states

“The main innovation under the project AEROARMS (AErial RObotic system integrating multiple ARMS and advanced manipulation capabilities for inspection and maintenance) lies in the world’s first intelligent aerial robotic manipulators, including arms and multi-thrust platforms (tilted rotors) that can exert forces in any direction

Professor Anibal Ollero (University of Seville, AEROARMS coordinator) mentioned that the technology has been tested in a refinery in Northern Germany and in a cement factory in Southern Spain.

The article also points out the creation of the start-up Vertical Engineering Solutions (VES), which is currently developing a new version of the AEROX system – one of the project’s drones developed at CATEC”
